Alien alert! The picture above is not from a sci-fi movie.  It is a real lab. These alien creatures are horseshoe crabs.  They have blue blood flowing through their bodies, which is due to the fact that they don’t use iron to transport oxygen, but copper instead. Apparently most of these crabs survive after some of their blood has been harvested, but probably not the ones in the picture above. Just another thing that blows our minds.
